2020

  • OLD WILL BE NEW. Spring exhibition at Gunnarsstofnun, Skriðuklaustur. 16th May - 7th June 2020. Exhibition of various birds made of wood and ceramic.
  • The Crafts and Design Fair was supposed to be held in Reykjavik City Hall from the 19th-23rd November 2020 but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Two private exhibitions held in Eiðistorg 15, the location of Crafts and Design office.

2019

  • RECYCLED CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS, 2nd-20th December 2019. An exhibition of Christmas decorations that were in some way re-used, re-cycled or re-made. Exhibition organized by Crafts and Design and held in Eiðistorg 15.
  • The Crafts and Design Fair was held in Reykjavik City Hall from the 21st-25th November 2019.
  • PINK OCTOBER. Crafts and Design held an exhibition at Eiðistorg 15, 1st October-4th November 2019. October is breast cancer awareness month and on this occasion, an exhibition with only pink artworks was organized.
  • Four private exhibitions held in Eiðistorg 15, location of Crafts and Design office.

2018

  • The Crafts and Design Fair was held in Reykjavik City Hall from the 22nd-26th November 2018.
  • ENDLESS an exhibition of works made entirely from recycled material that would otherwise be discarded. Held in DUUS Museum, Reykjanesbær 30th August- 4th November 2018.
  • SHIFTed, an exhibition held in Aðalstræti 10 on DesignMarch 2018. SHIFTed was a continuation of the project SHIFT from 2017, a collaboration between Crafts and Design and the Scottish association Emergent.
  • BIRDS. Easter exhibition at Gunnarsstofnun, Skriðuklaustur. 25th March-22nd April 2018. Exhibition of various birds made of wood and ceramic.
  • Three private exhibitions held in Eiðistorg 15, new location of Crafts and Design office.

2017

  • The Crafts and Design Fair was held in Reykjavik City Hall from the 23rd-27th November 2017. 
  • The Crafts and Design Fair was held in Reykjavik City Hall from the 4th-7th May 2017. 
  • FROM DUST YOU CAME..., an exhibition by Crafts and Design in cooperation with Skriðuklaustur, Centre of Culture and History. Held in Skriðuklaustur 8th April - 1st May 2017
  • SHIFT an exhibition and a project bringing together a diverse group of Scottish and Icelandic designers and makers. Exhibition in Galleri Grotta, Seltjarnarnes, 22nd March-22nd April 2017. SHIFT was a collaboration between Crafts and Design and the Scottish association Emergent.

2016

  • THE LAST SUPPER, a ceramic exhibition by Crafts and Design in cooperation with Skriðuklaustur, Centre of Culture and History. Held in Aðalstræti 10, Reykjavík.

2015

  • The Crafts and Design Fair was held in Reykjavik City Hall from the 14th-18th May 2015.

  • The Crafts and Design Fair was held in Reykjavik City Hall from the 15th-19th May 2014. 
  • BAGS. Exhibition of bags held in Kringlan shopping mall 26.03 - 09.04 2014.

  • The Crafts and Design Fair was held in Reykjavik City Hall from the 3th-7th May 2012.
  • Eight private exhibitions held in the showroom „Á skörinni“ Aðalstræti 10.

2011

  • Arts and Crafts Fair in the Reykjavik City Hall 3. - 7. Nov. 2011. Participants were 63. 
  • Cultural Exchange Programme - India / Iceland 2010-2013. Artists from India and Iceland working together from 21.09 - 02.10 2011. Introduction of the project in Reykjavik City Hall 30th September 2011.
  • The exhibition GAMEWORKS (LeikVerk) in Gerðuberg was presented in collaboration with HANDVERK OG HÖNNUN. Curated by Anna Leoniak, an architect and designer. From 10 September until 6 November 2011.
  • In May 2011 Crafts and Design / HANDVERK OG HÖNNUN published a small brochure in English: “crafts and design in Iceland”. 
  • Eight private exhibitions held in the showroom „Á skörinni“ Aðalstræti 10.

2010

  • In May 2010 Crafts and Design / HANDVERK OG HÖNNUN published a small brochure in English: “crafts and design in Iceland”. 

2009

  • Arts and Crafts Fair in the Reykjavik City Hall 30. Oct. - 2. Nov. 2009. Participants were 56.
  • The traveling exhibition "EINU SINNI ER" was held in six different places around Iceland from April 2009 until January 2010. Artists and designers worked in pairs to create new work for the exhibition. Exhibition places:

  • Treelife, an exhibition of handmade wooden pieces, held in The Institute of Gunnar Gunnarsson, from 15 March to 13 April 2008.

2007

  • Arts and Crafts Fair in the Reykjavik City Hall 5.– 8. Oct. 2007. Participants were 59. 
  • HANDVERK OG HÖNNUN, a private non-profit institution was established in January 2007 to replace the project HANDVERK OG HÖNNUN / CRAFTS AND DESIGN, established in 1994.


2006

  • Jewellery collars, an exhibition of jewellery collars made by the Norwegian artist Ingrid Larssen was held in Aðalstræti 12 from 16 Sept. till 1 Oct. 2006.

  • An exhibition of art and crafts made only of larch, liparite and of reindeer –skin, reindeer-horn and bone. These materials are mainly found in East of Iceland.

  • “Tales from a land”, the summer exhibition held in Aðalstræti 12 from 2 July to 4 Sept. 2005.
  • The Crafts Day, held 25 June 2005. The day celebrates the variety of Icelandic craft with open studios. Crafts and Design / HANDVERK OG HÖNNUN coordinates the program that gives opportunities to educate the interested visitors.

  • Furniture design and ceramic, exhibition of handmade dinner table and chairs by Pétur B. Lúthersson and exhibition of ceramic tableware designed by Kristín Sigfríður Garðarsdóttir. The exhibition took place in Aðalstræti 12, Reykjavík from 5 – 20 March 2005.
  • On the 26 February 2005 Crafts and Design / HANDVERK OG HÖNNUN held a seminar about Icelandic design and crafts – exhibitions abroad. Dr. Judy L. Larson Director of National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington and curator of the Nordic exhibition Nordic Cool: Hot Women Designers, was a special guest speaker at the seminar.

2004

  • Travelling exhibition 2002 - 2003, an exhibition made from five of the exhibitions of the year 2001. The exhibition was held around Iceland, in seven different places: Ísafjörður, Ólafsvík, Skriðuklaustur, Reykjanesbær, Sauðárkrókur, Akureyri and Höfn. The exhibitors were 23.
